Laurie, This One's For You!
Better late than never, the crib is put together!! I can officially now go into labor, or just show up tomorrow for my scheduled c-section. That is right, tomorrow is the day...I will no longer be pregnant, and I will be the mother of 3 boys. We are so excited! Any guesses on how much he is going to weigh and what color his hair will be?? We can't wait to meet you Declan, and now you have a crib!

Random Thoughts
First, Happy Anniversary to me and Chris!! We have been married 10 years! Unbelievable. Where does the time go?? We had a great dinner last night that involved steak, asparagus, and this awesome chocolate desert with some sinful whipped cream. It was so good!! It would have been slightly more enjoyable if I had not had contractions through the entire meal. Chris actually started timing them they were coming so often and we had the conversation of what we would do if my water broke in this fancy restaurant. Obviously that didn't happen, but it was a funny conversation.
Second, we went and saw the new movie Earth today. It was good, but a little too boring for poor Ryan. He tried hard to keep himself entertained, but that involved having a running commentary in a very loud voice about everything that was happening on the movie. I was cracking up, but eventually decided the other movie theater patrons may not think my kid is so funny, so we took him out of the movie and gave him a little stern talking to, and he finally calmed down. He still couldn't totally help himself, but he was better, and I still got a good laugh here and there.
Third, we took the boys to swim in the neighbors pool today. We decided it was time to leave when Brandon's lips turned purple. That was after about 20 minutes in the water. It might be getting hot here, but not quite hot enough for an unheated outdoor pool. They didn't want to leave they were having such a good time. Why are children immune to cold water, but only when they want to be??
Fourth, Ryan has been asking us lately what the spanish word is for things. Like, "What is the spanish word for milk?" Amazingly, Chris or I have known most of the words he has asked us about, aren't we so bilingual. Well, today, he asked us, without the least bit of irony, "What is the spanish word for hola??" I almost fell on the floor laughing, and he had no idea that he had said anything funny. I love that kid!
So, that wraps up my random thoughts, still no baby. I will keep you all posted!

One More Week
So I was hoping against hope that when I went to the doctor today she would put me out of my misery and just do my c-section. She got my hopes up a little bit when she told me if I was at least 3cm dilated, she would go ahead and do it. With all the contractions I have been having, you would think 3cm would be nothing, but no, I am still only 1cm. The huge weight gain, fat feet, cankles, and giant belly were also not enough to persuade her, so I am stuck for one more week. Have I mentioned that I am ready to have a baby?? Come out Declan, we all want to meet you!!!

Strawberries!!
I look forward to this every year....strawberry picking. I know it is such a nerdy thing to be excited about, but it is fun, and it is outdoors, and you get really good fruit at the end of it. Today, spur of the moment, we decided to go. I realized it would be the last chance we would have before Declan is born to go pick them, so we loaded up the truck and headed out. To my delight, my friends Amy and Sherry were able to join us (thanks for being spontaneous with me). Amy and I were having flash backs to the drive to Alabama last summer trying to feed the kids and keep them occupied for the 40 minute drive to the farm (how did we do that for 11 hours, I don't really know), but it was fun. We made it out there and I realized I had the boys dressed very inappropriately for the weather. It was bright and sunny so I assumed it was warm, but it was only in the 50s and I had them in shorts and t-shirts. Thankfully I had their jackets and the sun was warm enough. The kids were all so good. They picked tons of berries, only ate a few before we paid for them, and just enjoyed the outdoors. What a great day!!
