It is ON!!
The house that is. It is officially on the market. After an exhausting weekend that took people from three states and furniture from two houses, and one trip to Garbage Ridge, Kirklands, and Home Depot, the house looks amazing. Laurie came into town to finally get her hands on my cluttered, non decorated house, she did an amazing job. Dana helped run interference with the kids and graciously let Laurie assign her tasks to accomplish in the house. The kids did pretty well letting us work, and after two days working from morning until night, it is done. So bring on the offers, I don't think I can protect this house for long from Hurricane Brandon and Ryan.

Winter Park
So, I think these pictures really speak for themselves, but we had the best time at the base of Winter Park. The weather was cool and dry. The setting was beautiful. There was stuff to entertain us from open to close (we shut down the alpine slide both days we went). Ryan got to play a million rounds of mini-golf. What a great trip!

What would you do??
So, we are weeks away from moving to the other side of the planet, we need to get our house ready to show/sell, run a thousand errands, go to a bunch of appointments, get passports, and the list goes on and on. So...what are we doing?? We are going on vacation, it is the Chris and Erin thing to do. Yes, we are crazy, but if you know us, it should be no surprise that we are doing this. We are very excited that next week we will be spending a week in Winter Park, enjoying a break from the heat, a break from planning, and enjoying some family time. We are going with my parents, Kelly and her family, and Dana my cousin. So if you need us, we will be golfing, hiking, shopping, eating, marveling at God's creation, riding the alpine slide, and mini golfing. Doesn't that sound better than packing and getting travel vaccines? I sure think so!

Send in the Reenforcements
So, I am happy to report that help has arrived! My mom got here two days ago to help me go through all of my stuff. We have done one closet and already have about 4 boxes of stuff to give away. And my cousin Dana came yesterday to spend a few weeks with us to help out with the boys. I think they like her, she is going to be worn out by them I am sure, but they took to her instantly. Now I can run errands and go out and about without a small trail of children behind me, and we can work on the house and know the kids are at least being supervised. Yay!!!

The Secret is Out
....We are moving. Most of you have heard, but if you haven't, the Party of Five crew is relocating, and not across the street, or across the country, but as Brandon says, to the other side of the planet. We are moving to Vietnam. Chris got a very big vote of confidence from his job and he will be starting up a support office for a new venture in Vietnam. We will be in Ho Chi Minh City (or Saigon) which is in the southern part of Vietnam. His position starts October 1st, so now the preparations begin fast and furious for us to get ready to go. Just a few of the things we need to do... Sell our house, sell our cars, decide what goes, what stays, and what gets sold or tossed out, get passports, get visas, get travel vaccines (ouch), the list goes on and on.
To answer a few questions that I am sure will come up, we are actually very excited about all of this, we are not being sent against our will. Also, this has nothing to do with an adoption, it is actually all a big coincidence that it is the same country we were trying to adopt from. And, Yes, you can all come visit us, please come!!!
So there is the big news, please feel free to pray for us, come browse through our house and take some of our mountains of stuff, or offer to watch my kids so I can organize things :) The adventure begins!!

This Boy...
...Is the sweetest baby we have ever had.
...Is so laid back and calm.
...Smiles all the time.
...Is adored by his big brothers.
...Disturbs my sleep, but I don't really mind.
...Is a great traveler.
...Is the best snuggler.
...Is a good eater. Was 11 pounds 8 ounces at 6 weeks.
...Likes to be outside, even in our Texas heat.
...has my heart. We love you sweet Declan!
